GLENN KEARNEY
Glenn Kearney: Grace in a Prison Place
Glenn Kearney was convicted of murder at 16 years of age and sentenced to life in prison. Behind prison walls, Glenn discovered his talent as a songwriter/singer. It was not long before he found himself lead singer for the Alto (Georgia) State Prison Band.
After performing several concerts at Alto, Glenn and his prison band took on the challenge of competing in a Georgia prison system "Battle of the Bands" in 1979. They were awarded first place.
This was also a time when dreams of pursuing a careet as a recording artist began to consume him. Once released, he was making plans to go to Nashville and become a star. Of course, God had other plans!
Glenn's rich voice and experience-driven songs have taken a different road since he turned his life over to the Lord in 1984. Grace in a Prison Place is a collection of songs straight from the heart of a man whose life has undergone a radical turn and emerged on top!
