The first time you hear the music of Mike Hammock, you will have little doubt about the influence country music has played in forming his musical style. Mike has captured the Texas sound of country music with a Christian message that ministers to all ages. Whether he's ministering at cowboy churches, traditional churches, fairs, or rodeo's, his love for music and the sincerity he displays comes shining through!

Mike was born and raised in the heart of the East Texas piney woods between Toledo Bend and Sam Rayburn Lakes. He grew up enjoying the great hunting and fishing that area provides. Mike served his country in the U.S. Air Force and returned to make his home in Nacogdoches, TX. He lives there with his wife, Faye, and their daughter, Amanda and his horses "Beto" and "Mustang" Sally. Mike and his family attend Jubilee Christian Center in Nacogdoches.

He started his singing career appearing on the many Country Music Opry's in Texas such as the Grapevine Opry, Charlie Pruitt Country Music Show, and the very well known Johnny High Country Music Show in Fort Worth, TX, where LeAnn Rimes got her start. After doing those for a few years, Mike formed his own band and started playing in the honky tonks and bars in Texas like many before him had done. But in April of 1991 he gave his heart to Christ, left that destructive scene, and hasn't looked back. Mike says, "All I want to do now is serve my Lord by ministering to others through the songs God has inspired me to write"!!!

Mike continues to pray for the Holy Spirit's anointing on his writing and for clear direction in his ministry. He has made himself available full time to serve the Lord in the performance of his music to spread the gospel to a needy world.
