Morris Mott, a Christian country artist and an ordained Word of Faith minister, uniquely combines these two areas in his music, for which he has coined the name "faith country." Morris, a native of Mississippi, now living in Plainfield, IN, had a desire to present a positive faith building message backed by the contemporary Nashville sound. He wanted to use the country music genre to inspire the listener to reach for the greatness to which God has ordained for them. His newest independent release, "Beyond Your Dreams" is the first fruit of that desire.
Unable to find songs already written that met his definition of "faith country", Morris teamed up with James Hightshoe, who had written with such country music writers as Paul Overstreet, to compose the songs. With this collaboration of song materials and backed by some of Nashville's finest musicians, "Beyond Your Dreams" became a reality. With his high energy country vocals and his rich mellow texture on the ballads, Morris Mott will take you to "faith country" and you will enjoy the experience.
Morris travels out to about 200 dates annually across the nation and his brand of "Faith Country" music receives both national and international radio airplay. His first single, "Too Many Old Devils" made its chart debut at number eighteen on the Christian Country Top Twenty Five report.
